90 Day Fiancé's Most Underwhelming Weight Loss Before & After Pics

Several 90 Day Fiancé franchise cast members have before and after weight loss photos that have disappointed their fans. Many viewers have noticed stars slimming down or gaining weight over the years. Some transformations, such as that of Jorge Nava or David Toborowsky, are appreciated by all. But there are a few who seem like they are trying too hard. While stars like Angela Deem and Winter Everett have had 90 Day Fiancé spin-off storylines dedicated to their weight loss surgeries, many seem to want to give fans the impression of them losing weight just to peddle misleading products.

Becoming a 90 Day Fiancé cast member can usually guarantee a blue tick mark on Instagram. Even though it may not be the biggest reason why people audition for a spot, the social media benefits certainly are a perk that they cannot deny. After gaining thousands of followers overnight, it’s easy for 90 Day Fiancé cast members to become influencers and social media stars. This leads to product collaborations that more often than not revolve around sham diet products that fans have started to enthusiastically call out.

Slimming teas, apple cider vinegar gummies, and diet supplements require participating 90 Day Fiancé celebs to post photos of themselves taken before and after they start consuming the products. Perhaps it’s the urgency to get done with the post, or just their own lack of faith in the brand which makes some stars find the easy way out. Eagle-eyed TLC viewers know just when a cast member is trying to fool them with then-and-now photos that may have been clicked mere seconds apart. This is when the 90 Day Fiancé stars' weight loss makeover pics on Instagram have led to them being made into laughingstocks in the comment section of their profiles.

Fans first heard Big Ed mentioning his weight loss via an Instagram post in January 2021. Big Ed was excited to get back into the dating game after his breakup with Rose Vega. Before he could start his 90 Day: The Single Life journey, Big Ed revealed his plans of losing at least 30 pounds. By then, Big Ed had apparently lost 18 pounds, which fans refused to believe. September 2021 saw Big Ed posting a before and after collage of himself for a paid partnership with a diet brand. “These shots help with cravings, are easy to add into my routine, and also contain vitamin D3 for natural muscle function,” the 90 Day Fiancé star wrote in his caption, but a fan wondered if it’s just his shirt and not his weight that Big Ed lost. One TLC viewer asked Big Ed, “So...the product is useless?” And a rather forthcoming Instagram follower told Big Ed, “you're not fooling anyone, sir.

In April, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? alum Julia Trubkina shocked fans by posting about her weight loss secret. Julia is remembered for having a verbal spat with her co-stars like Yara Zaya and Rebecca Parrott on 90 Day Fiancé season 8 about them choosing plastic surgery to get makeovers instead of going to the “gym club.” So when Julia shared before and after Instagram pictures of her with a flat tummy tea, fans had reasons to call her a hypocrite. What was most underwhelming about Julia’s photos was that she shared two pictures taken at the same time side by side with one showing her front and the other showing her side profile. Julia thanked the brand for making her tummy flatter. TLC viewers shamed Julia by posting things like, “Glad you finally opened the bag at least,” “Please stop advertising this crap. We all know you were great before” and “You look the same...” on her Instagram.

Another iconic 90 Day Fiancé star who’s often called out for not being honest about her fitness journey is Darcey Silva. Darcey’s Instagram comments usually are full of criticism for her filters or plastic surgery procedures. But Darcey is not one to pay attention to them, as she seems to love the engagement it gets from her 1.2 million-plus followers. However, in November 2021, Darcey, who was last seen getting a twin transformation with sister Stacey Silva on Darcey & Stacey in Turkey, credited a shady weight loss supplement for doing “a number on cravings.” A fan asked Darcey, “Don’t tell me this is supposed to be a before and after??” on her post. Another pointed out that Darcey had literally just changed her pants and her pose in the two photos. “Pictures taken the same day,” the fan added with someone else commenting, “there is no difference.

One of the OG controversial cast members of 90 Day Fiancé, Danielle Mullins who goes by Danielle Jbali on Instagram still creates controversy whenever she’s seen posting her weight loss transformation photographs. In April, Danielle did a paid partnership for weight loss shots. Danielle wrote how the product helps stop her cravings and that she “honestly” notices “a little difference” whenever she used the drink. Danielle even asked her fans to consider her pictures as “motivation” with summer on the way but they, as usual, ended up calling the TLC queen out. Even though Danielle wore two different outfits and had blow-dried her hair in the “after” photo, it was easy to see she was standing with her midriff protruding towards the camera on purpose in the “before” one. “Is it me or is the same day with a different t-shirt!?!?!” asked one fan, and someone else mocked Danielle for her poor camera tricks.

One of the most criticized weight loss transformations in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise belongs to Nicole, who debuted on season 4 of the TLC show. Nicole was mocked by her fiancé Azan Tefou when he saw her in person for the first time and claimed that he was only "55 percent" attracted to Nicole. Azan took Nicole to the gym and spoke about her being a little bit big on camera. In February 2019, Nicole revealed she’d lost 10 pounds and intended to reach a goal weight of 175 pounds with a change of lifestyle. However, none of Nicole’s photos that followed made it look like she’d lost any kilos or inches, especially the ones in which she was advertising misleading diet products. In April 2019, 90 Day Fiancé cast member Nicole said that she was on a detox program for 30 days and the tea was helping her make a healthier choice. Nicole confirmed she had stopped snacking earlier in the day because of the tea controlling her cravings and that “it really shows.” 90 Day Fiancé fans, however, refused to believe anything that Nicole said as they wrote, “honey you have to actually lose some weight before you start trying to sell weight loss programs,” and called her out for fooling fans into buying the dangerous appetite-suppressing item by giving discount codes.
