The terrifying final form of Galactus has arrived, as Destruction has become one of the Marvel Universe's only hopes in defeating the Reckoning and ending the cosmic war currently engulfing the cosmos. In Fantastic Four #44 by Marvel Comics, Galactus evolves into his most frightening form after merging with the Destroyer Armor. When he reaches the Reckoning, his fiery new appearance takes shape, revealing a new side of the Devourer of Worlds.
The Reckoning has emerged as the biggest threat in the galaxy, as the race of aliens has turned advanced Watcher technology into weapons to arm the universe in a full-blown war. To stop them, Silver Surfer made the difficult decision to resurrect Galactus with Thor's Destroyer armor, evolving him into Destruction, believing the planet-eating villain's final form was the only way to stop the Reckoning. Destruction has just arrived for the final battle with the Reckoning, showing off a different version of Galactus, who might be the most terrifying cosmic being in the Marvel Universe.
In Fantastic Four #44 by Dan Slott, Rachael Stott, Davide Tinto, and Andrea Di Vito from Marvel Comics, Silver Surfer lures the final form of Galactus with the Ultimate Nullifier as Destruction follows his former herald in his evolved state. However, after cosmic intervention from the Three Faces of Existence, Norin-Radd decides to leap ahead of Galactus, leaving a cosmic trail for Destruction as he attempts to buy time for his arrival with the Reckoning. When Galactus finally reaches the Apex of All Reality, he shows off his terrifying new form, as fiery cosmic energy can be seen coming from him as he gets ready to cause destruction.
However, before Destruction can live up to his name, the Watcher-powered Reed Richards senses Galactus' arrival in his final form and makes an impossible decision to stop the chaos. As the Reckoning reaches the heart of the Apex, the Fantastic Four hero decides to activate the Ultimate Nullifier, sending a blast of power that engulfs the entire Marvel Universe in one hell of a cliffhanger ending for the issue.
Galactus doesn't get the chance to save the Marvel Multiverse as Silver Surfer hoped he could as Destruction, as the Ultimate Nullifier seemingly destroys him and everyone else before he can take out the heart of the Apex as the Reckoning reaches it. Despite the cliffhanger, the final form of Galactus proves to be terrifying, as there's no telling how much damage he would have caused in his new fiery body.
