Veteran Training Gear is one of the most important resources that can be obtained in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes because it impacts the ability of all units to unlock new classes. One of the strongest features of the hack and slash spin-off of the Fire Emblem series is that each unit has access to multiple class trees, starting with the beginner levels and progressing all the way through to master classes. Progressing through each class requires specific items or resources, and the Veteran Training Gear is a critical component for unlocking any of the advanced class trees.
For example, even if a unit has mastered the Priest class, players will still need to acquire Veteran Training Gear before they can unlock the Bishop class in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes for that character. Without it, there is no way a unit can progress any further in any given class tree, which ultimately limits their potential and combat abilities on the battlefield. Unfortunately, it will take some time before Veteran Training Gear can be unlocked in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, but players can proactively prepare for its availability by making sure all desired units have mastered their intermediate class.
Veteran Training Gear can only be acquired from chapter seven onward in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. Additionally, Veteran Training Gear will never be found in any of the shops. Unfortunately, this also includes Anna's Shop in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, regardless of which chapter players have been able to progress through. However, there are still a few different methods than can be used to find Veteran Training Gear, and most of them are part of the main story itself.
The easiest way to get Veteran Training Gear in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is by checking a Survey location after it is unlocked. Unlocking a Survey location is simply done by completing the main mission for that particular effort, and checking its contents after the fact can be done at no resource expense. The Survey locations that contain Veteran Training Gear will be determined by the route that players chose at the beginning of the game, such as joining Dimitri, Claude, or Edelgard in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
Additionally, there is also the possibility that Veteran Training Gear can be acquired at the end of a battle from chapter seven onward. The resource can also be collected from the Supply Master in the base camp. However, any Veteran Training Gear that is received from the Supply Master will be significantly less than the amount earned from Survey locations and post-battle spoils in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
