In TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, one of the bonus objectives that can be completed is finding the location of every Secret Diary in the game. Finding the location of every Secret Diary in TMNT: Shredder's Revenge is one of the special requests that can be completed for some of the most iconic characters to ever meet the Ninja Turtles. Specifically for the Secret Diary locations, this request is issued by Irma, a friend of April O'Neil that was originally introduced in the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series.
All special requests that are completed will reward players with various amounts of experience points that can then be used to level up the TMNT and other playable characters in Shredder's Revenge. Once the location of a Secret Diary has been found, a journal icon will appear over the character's head accompanied by a "Secret diary found!" message. While the Ninja Turtles and their allies will have to search high and low to find the location of every Secret Diary in the game, not every episode in TMNT: Shredder's Revenge has one of the journals for players to collect.
Before the Secret Diaries can be located and collected, the TMNT will first need to find Irma in Episode 2, "Big Apple, 3 pm." As players progress through the episode, they'll eventually reach a large green building that has two Foot Soldiers hiding in trash bags on both the left and right sides of a stoop leading to the apartment. Knock the front door down with any attack to find Irma's cameo, allowing all five of the Secret Diary locations in TMNT: Shredder's Revenge to be discovered throughout the game.
- Secret Diary 1: The first Secret Diary location is part of "Big Apple, 3 pm" as well. Shortly after finding Irma, destroy a blue mailbox to the left of a parking garage that has a Foot Soldier driving a car to find the first Secret Diary.
- Secret Diary 2: The second Secret Diary location is within Episode 4, "Rumble in the Zoo." Destroy a trashcan to the right of a bench near Foot Soldiers that are eating popsicles to find this Secret Diary.
- Secret Diary 3: The third Secret Diary location is in Episode 5, "King of the Spill." At the beginning of Episode 5, this Secret Diary can be found by hitting the card displays to the right of a subway entrance.
- Secret Diary 4: The fourth Secret Diary location in TMNT: Shredder's Revenge is in Episode 6, "Mall Meltdown." The Secret Diary can be found shortly after Episode 6 begins by smashing a garbage can to the left of the "Taco's" stand.
- Secret Diary 5: The final Secret Diary location is in Episode 7, "Roof Running Reptiles." The Secret Diary can be found shortly after Episode 7 begins by smashing a red toolbox.
