Why Numenor Looks So Much Like Gondor's Minas Tirith

Fans of J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth finally got their first look at Numenor in the third episode of Amazon's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and it looks a lot like Minas Tirith. Rings of Power has featured various key locations from Middle-earth in the first two episodes, such as Forodwaith and the Eregion region, making the arrival of Numenor all the more exciting. In fact, Numenor has never appeared on screen before, nor has it been used as a setting in Tolkien's The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings trilogy, making it one of the first depictions of the legendary location.
