It's Dr. Watson's time to shine. Deadline reports that CBS wants to put a fresh spin on the Sherlock Holmes story by putting the sidekick into the lead role for a new series called Watson. The series, described as a medical drama with detective elements, is written by Craig Sweeny, who previously worked on Elementary. Aaron Kaplan's Kapital Entertainment and CBS Studios are behind the project. Sweeny will executive produce alongside Kaplan, Brian Morewitz, and Shäron Moalem MD, PhD.
