Iconic actor George Clooney joked about returning to the role of Batman after cameoing in The Flash following his rough turn as DC‘s Caped Crusader in 1997’s Batman & Robin.

At the premiere of The Boys in the Boat — the Clooney-directed sports biopic — the actor and director was asked by Entertainment Tonight about appearing as Bruce Wayne in The Flash, leading him to joke about the negative critical reception his portrayal of the hero in Batman & Robin received.

“Well, I thought … there was such a clamor for me to come back as Batman … there was a clamor,” Clooney joked. “I actually said, ‘Where are my rubber nipples?’ And they were like, ‘Can we do it without the rubber nipples?’ I was like, ‘Well, it’s not really my Batman, is it?'”

Clooney was then asked if he would could be convinced to come back again as Bruce Wayne/Batman, which he comically denied.

“I don’t think there’s enough drugs in the world for me to go back again,” he stated.
