If you like inspiring stories of redemption and people trying to give back to society, The Blues Brothers is the perfect watch. Helmed by John Landis, the goofy and exciting musical traces the lives of Joliet and Elwood, two orphans raised in an orphanage in Chicago. Their childhood is far from perfect, as is their adult life. But once they learn about the impending doom the orphanage they grew up in faces, they leave behind their unlawful ways to join hands with friends from their teenage boy band and try to save their childhood home. It is a heartwarming and witty story of a boyband coming together to save the day with their music.

Here’s how you can watch and stream The Blues Brothers via streaming services such as Netflix.

Is The Blues Brothers available to watch via streaming?

Yes, The Blues Brothers is available to watch via streaming on Netflix.

The movie follows the misadventures of two boys who try to reunite their teenage music band for a fundraising show for their childhood orphanage. In failure to pay back the five thousand dollar state taxes, the Chicago-based orphanage is about to shut down when a band of misfits (quite literally) take it upon themselves to save the place. This sets them into a series of reality checks as they find their friends from the past now running restaurants and music shops. It is pertinent that one watches the movie to its bittersweet epilogue and appreciates how beautifully the story is spun together until the end.

The movie stars John Belushi as “Joliet” Jake Blues and Dan Aykroyd as Elwood J. Blues. Their boy band includes notable singers like Steve Cropper, Donald Dunn, Murphy Dunne, Willie Hall, Tom Malone, Marini, Matt Murphy, and Alan Rubin. Other talented actors in the movie include James Brown, Cab Calloway, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, and Henry Gibson. Carrie Fisher plays the role of Jake’s ex-fiancee and is portrayed as the Mystery Woman.
