Chris Pine is set to star in the upcoming crime thriller Nowhere Fast from filmmaker and Fargo creator Noah Hawley.
What do we know about Nowhere Fast?
The film is being written and directed by Hawley, who is also behind the upcoming Alien: Earth series coming to FX later this year. According to an announcement on the film, the movie will follow a small-town criminal (Pine) who “inadvertently kills the nephew of his boss,” according to a brief logline for the film.
Currently, no other casting information or release dates have been set for the upcoming movie.
Pine is no stranger to the world of crime thrillers, especially those set in Texas. In 2016, he starred alongside Jeff Bridges in the crime drama Hell or High Water, which earned critical acclaim and was nominated for four Academy Awards. Outside of that, Pine has been a mainstay in the world of Hollywood, most recently starring in 2023’s Poolman, which also served as his directorial debut.
Outside of Alien: Earth and Fargo, Noah Hawley also created the cult classic FX series Legion and directed the 2019 film Lucy in the Sky. Hawley also served as a writer on the 2005 Fox police procedural Bones.
Nowhere Fast will be financed and co-represented by 30West, alongside CAA Media Finance. The film will be produced by Hawley’s 26 Keys Production.
