Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games have formally revealed the title of their upcoming Star Wars tactics game. Star Wars Zero Company has gotten the title treatment, as well as a post ahead of its upcoming reveal stream.
When is Star Wars Zero Company’s first look?
In-depth details about Star Wars Zero Company are still unknown. According to the game’s webpage, the upcoming game is a “single-player turn-based tactics game” and will come to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S when it eventually releases.
Players eager to see what this game is all about can see the first look during Star Wars Celebration. Star Wars Zero Company being shown on the Galaxy Stage from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Three years ago, Electronic Arts revealed Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment were working on a strategy game based in the world of Star Wars. Until now, details about it have been sparse, with some of it coming out of various leaks since its announcement. Along with what is now called Star Wars Zero Company, the publisher announced two other games with Respawn Entertainment attached. One of those became Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The other was a first-person shooter that was canceled last year.
“We are excited to continue working with the superbly talented developers at Respawn,” said Douglas Reilly, VP, Lucasfilm Games when Star Wars Zero Company was first revealed. “They have demonstrated excellence in telling epic Star Wars stories along with best-in-class gameplay across different genres and we are looking forward to bringing more amazing experiences to the galaxy far, far away.”
“We are huge fans of Star Wars here at Respawn and we’re thrilled to work with Lucasfilm Games on new titles that we have wanted to make for years,” said Respawn Entertainment’s Vince Zampella in that original announcement. “If you want to make great Star Wars games, you should come join us on our journey.”
