In a recent interview, the actress opened up about leading the Enterprise crew in Season 3, while also providing insight into the shooting schedule for Season 4.
Rebecca Romijn says Star Trek Strange New Worlds Season 4 is ‘almost finished filming’
During an interview, the X-Men star gave an update regarding Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4.
Rebecca Romijn told Comic Book Resources that the team has “almost finished filming” Season 4. This suggests that the penultimate edition in the series could see the light of day sometime in mid-2026.
Going by the past trends, new seasons of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds have generally premiered one year after the completion of production. For instance, filming on the third season wrapped up in May 2024. Meanwhile, the installment eventually came out on the small screens in July 2025.
Romijn’s production update on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds sits in line with the recent briefing given by series director Jordan Canning. The Canadian filmmaker took to Instagram on July 7 to convey that filming on Season 4’s fifth episode was halfway done.
With the fourth edition set to have a 10-episode roster, Canning’s update suggested that production on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4 was nearing its final stages. This once again hints at a summer or fall release date.
Meanwhile, Paramount has already confirmed a fifth season in the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds series. It will also serve as the final entry in the franchise. Moreover, the ultimate chapter in the fan-favorite series will also contain just six episodes. This is unlike the first four seasons, all of which have spawned 10 episodes each.
Despite the positive updates surrounding the final two Star Trek: Strange New Worlds seasons, the two installments have yet to receive an official release date.
