The Boys star Chace Crawford is the latest actor to join Hulu‘s drama series about the NFL, which hails from This Is Us and Paradise creator Dan Fogelman.
Although specific plot details about the project remain under wraps, it is known that the story unfolds inside the NFL world and has a generational family element. Crawford joins a cast that already includes Christopher Meloni, William H. Macy, Mandy Moore, and Chloe Bennet.

According to Deadline, Crawford will play the team’s new General Manager. The rest of the roles are currently as follows: Meloni, best known for his role as Elliot Stabler on Law & Order: SVU, will play the head coach, Danny. Macy (Shameless) will play Hank, the team owner, while Bennet (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Moore (This Is Us) will play Hank’s daughters.
Previous reports indicated that Moore’s character is looking to take over the ownership role. Sam Corlett (Vikings: Valhalla) and Tanner Zagarino (The Summer I Turned Pretty) also star as series regulars, playing the sons in the family.
The project hails from 20th Television and Skydance Sports. It’s executive produced by Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, and Kevin Falls. David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, and Jason T. Reed, for Skydance Sports, are also executive producers.
Crawford is well-known for playing Nate Archibald on the popular teen drama Gossip Girl, a role he maintained until the series finale in 2012. He is also recognized for his role as The Deep, a main character who will return in The Boys Season 5. Although the Emmy-nominated superhero satire does not have a release date, it is expected to debut in 2026.
In addition to currently appearing in the second season of The Boys spin-off, Gen V, Crawford is filming the upcoming Super Troopers movie. He will also appear next in the thriller Strobe, from director Taylor Cohen, opposite Laura Harrier and Suzanna Son.
