Executive producer Nick Kroll‘s newest comedy series, Adults, has officially received a second season renewal at FX. This comes over four months after the first installment wrapped up its 8-episode run, which earned a Certified Fresh score of 74% on Rotten Tomatoes.

What did FX say about the Adults Season 2 renewal?

“Ben and Rebecca are incredibly talented writers, and they have expertly and hilariously captured the experience of being a young adult in today’s world,” FX Entertainment executive Kate Lambert said in a statement. “The entire cast — Malik, Lucy, Jack, Amita, and Owen — is exceptional in bringing it to life in a way that has truly connected with its audience.”

Adults is led by Lucy Freyer, Malik Elassal, Owen Thiele, Amita Rao, and Jack Innanen. Season 1 also featured Charlie Cox, Rachel Marsh, D’Arcy Carden, Ray Nicholson, John Reynolds, Julia Fox, and more. The show is written and executive-produced by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, who were former writers for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Stefani Robinson (Atlanta), Sarah Naftalis (What We Do in the Shadows), Jonathan Krisel (English Teacher), and Alicia Van Couvering (Drinking Buddies) are also serving as executive producers. It hails from FX Productions.

“It is an ensemble comedy series about a group of twenty-somethings in New York trying to be good people, despite being neither ‘good’ nor ‘people’ yet,” reads the official logline. “Samir, Billie, Paul Baker, Issa, and Anton are five friends crashing together in Samir’s childhood home, where they share their meals, anxieties, and, occasionally, toothbrushes.”
