The Monster Season 4 cast continues to grow, with a new report suggesting that an American Horror Story legend will be starring in the show as well.
What American Horror Story star is set to appear in Monster Season 4?
According to a new report from Variety, Sarah Paulson is nearing a deal to appear in the upcoming fourth season of the show. Paulson will play the role of Aileen Wuornos, a serial killer who, while engaged in prostitution between 1989 and 1990, killed seven of her clients. Wuornos was later captured and sentenced to death for the murders, and was executed in 2002 after spending more than 10 years on death row in Florida.
Just how Paulson’s character will fit into the series is unknown as of now. Monster Season 4 is set to feature the story of Lizzie Bordern, who allegedly killed her family in 1892. Due to the huge year discrepancies, it seems like Monster Season 4 will once again be featuring multiple timelines, similar to how Season 3 showed how Ed Gein’s crimes affected pop culture in the future.
Paulson is no stranger to working with Ryan Murphy. To date, she has appeared in nine of the 12 seasons of American Horror Story, as well as the limited series The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, Impeachment: American Crime Story, and the upcoming 13th season of American Horror Story.
Monster Season 4 will be led by Ella Beatty, who will play Lizzie Borden, a woman accused of murdering her father and stepmother in 1892 in Massachusetts. Borden was tried and acquitted for the murders, but the mystery surrounding the case garnered massive attention.
Charlie Hunnam will play Andrew Borden, Lizzie’s father. Hunnam previously starred in Monster Season 3 as Ed Gein, the notorious serial killer and body snatcher. Monster Season 4’s ensemble also includes Vicky Krieps as Bridget Sullivan, the Bordens’ live-in maid; Rebecca Hall as Abby Borden, Lizzie’s stepmother; Billie Lourd as Emma, Lizzie’s older sister; and Jessica Barden as Nance O’Neill, Lizzie’s actress friend.
