Prime Video‘s movie and television show lineup for January 2026 has been revealed, and it includes two popular comedy movies starring Channing Tatum. 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street, which were originally released in 2012 and 2014, respectively, are making their way to the streaming service next month. At the time of their release, both films received positive reviews from critics and audiences and found considerable success at the box office.

Fans of 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street will be excited to learn that both movies, starring Channing Tatum, will be heading to Prime Video on January 1, 2026.
Both films became financial successes. 21 Jump Street grossed $201.5 million worldwide. Meanwhile, 22 Jump Street grossed $331.3 million globally.
On Rotten Tomatoes, 21 Jump Street holds an 85% fresh score on the Tomatometer and an 83% audience score on the Popcornmeter. As for 22 Jump Street, the film boasts an 84% fresh score and a 77% audience score.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, known for their work on the Spider-Verse animated films, helmed both films.
Both films are based on the 1987-91 police procedural drama series 21 Jump Street, created by Patrick Hasburgh and Stephen J. Cannell. The series starred Johnny Depp, Holly Robinson, and Pete DeLuise in the lead roles of Officer Tom Hanson, Sergeant Judy Hoffs, and Officer Doug Penhall. Notably, the trio made cameo appearances in the first film. Meanwhile, Richard Grieco and Dustin Nguyen, who played Detective Dennis Booker and Sergeant Harry Truman in the original series, made cameos in the second film.
The films follow two police officers and best friends, Jenko (Tatum) and Schmidt (Jonah Hill). In each film, Captain Dickson (Ice Cube) assigns the pair on an undercover mission to investigate and thwart the drug ring at an educational institution. In the first film, Schmidt and Jenko go undercover as high school students to stop the distribution of a drug known as HFS. Meanwhile, the second film sees the duo go undercover at a college to stop the sale of a drug known as a WHY-PHY.
