Deke’s Confused
Deke asks Carter whether he’s aware of what the future holds for him at Forrester, but the latter expresses uncertainty. Despite this, Deke expresses enthusiasm for working at Forrester, calling it a dream come true. Carter gives him a reality check, revealing that they have numerous plans for Hope’s line and that they will only choose the best candidate for the designer team.
Ridge gives the news
Ridge reveals that they have finally decided to let Thomas and Zende carry forward the line, removing Deke. While Brooke is aware that Deke is just getting started, she’s concerned that Steffy will be the one to reveal his firing to Hope. Ridge believes that Steffy and Hope have their matter sorted. Brooke argues that it might look like Hope’s brother was ousted to let Steffy’s brother in.
Discussion around Katie’s new fashion company
Bill, Will, and Katie are happy about the new fashion company. However, Katie is worried about how she’ll break this news to Brooke. Bill asks her not to worry and that she’s doing the right thing by putting herself first, reassuring her that she’ll do a great job. Katie feels that Brooke won’t be upset with her, given that the Logans always uplift each other. After Katie departs, Bill and Will express their excitement for her new venture. Bill also asks Will to join her mom, but he prefers to stay out of it for now.
Brooke is concerned
Katie breaks the news to Brooke that Bill gave her a fashion house. Brooke is shocked, reminding her how things take time to become successful, giving an example of Forrester. Katie thinks she’s ready for the challenge and mentions that Bill believes in her. Although Brooke is happy, she remains unconvinced about Katie’s new venture.
Katie then asks Brooke to suggest some names for her business and reveals that she wanted her to be the one to know about this Bill’s new romantic gesture first. While Brooke tries her best to make her realize that things are going to be challenging, Katie only looks forward to seizing the opportunity and doing the best out of it. Brooke is okay with her decision, but still shows some concerns.
Hope breaks the news to Deke
Steffy reveals that Hope is unhappy about Thomas’ return and isn’t pleased by the decision made for Deke. When Deke shows Hope his new sketches, she stops him. She breaks the news that Thomas and Zende will be leading her line and that they have terminated his contract. Disappointed, Deke understands the company’s decision and aspires to become better at his craft. Hope becomes sad, but Deke is hopeful that he will at least get a place at his dad’s restaurant. Their moment concludes with a hug.
