HBO has finally announced the official release date window for Euphoria Season 3, the highly anticipated next installment of Zendaya‘s acclaimed coming-of-age drama. This comes more than four years after Season 2 had wrapped up its 8-episode run.
What’s the release date window for Euphoria Season 3?
Euphoria is officially coming back in April 2026 for its third season. In addition, the first photo of Zendaya’s Season 3 look for Rue has also been unveiled, showing her sitting at the passenger’s side of a pick-up truck.
Per Variety, series creator Sam Levinson recently appeared at the HBO Max presentation in London, where he teased what to expect from Rue, Jules, Cassie, Nate, Maddy, and Lexi in Season 3. He confirmed that Cassie and Nate are now engaged, five years after the Season 2 finale, while Rue is still trying to find a way to pay off her debt to Laurie. Meanwhile, Maddy is now working at a talent agency in Hollywood, while Lexi works as an assistant to a showrunner, played by Sharon Stone. As for Jules, fans will see her attending an art school.
“Five years felt like a natural place because if they’d gone to college, they’d be out of college at that time,” He shared. “We basically pick up Rue south of the border in Mexico, in debt to Laurie, trying to come up with some very innovative ways to pay it off.”
He continued, “And then Cassie is living in the suburbs with Nate, they’re engaged, and she’s very addicted to social media and envious of what appears to be the big lives that all of her high school classmates are living at this point in time.”
Euphoria is created and written by Levinson, who is also executive producing with Zendaya and Drake. It is based on an Israeli miniseries of the same name. The series follows a group of high school students as they struggle to move through the worlds of drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love, and friendship. Season 3 will feature the return of Zendaya as Rue, Hunter Schafer as Jules, Jacob Elordi as Nate, Alexa Demie as Maddy, Maude Apatow as Lexi, Dominic Fike as Elliot, Eric Dane as Cal, Colman Domingo as Ali, Martha Kelly as Laurie, and Chloe Cherry as Faye.
Joining them are new characters played by Rosalía, Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, Marshawn Lynch, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Kadeem Hardison, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, Anna Van Patten, Asante Blackk, Bella Podaras, Bill Bodner, Cailyn Rice, Colleen Camp, Gideon Adlon, Hemky Madera, Homer Gere, Jack Topalian, Jessica Blair Herman, Kwame Patterson, Madison Thompson, Matthew Willig, Rebecca Pidgeon, and Sam Trammell.
