Paramount+ is gearing up to begin production of a highly anticipated Taylor Sheridan TV series, and a new casting call reveals some of what we can expect.
What Taylor Sheridan show is looking for actors?
Frisco King, the upcoming spin-off series of Sylvester Stallone‘s hit Tulsa King series starring Samuel L. Jackson, is beginning to look for actors. According to a new report from The Dallas Morning News, the show is looking for actors in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. While details about the plot remain unclear, a Facebook post by Frisco, Texas Mayor Jeff Cheney suggests the show will be a “fish out of water comedy” after he met with some producers on the show.
According to listings for actors, the show is looking to film a courtroom scene, car dealership scene, and a “bikini car wash scene.” Other scenes to be filmed include a little league game scene in the Fort Worth/Keller area, and an unknown scene by the Dallas-Fort Worth University. Alongside Jackson, Frisco King will also star Asa Germann (The Boys: Gen V), Kai Caster (Spider-Noir), Lilah Pate (Outer Banks), and Savanna Gann (English Teacher). In the spin-off, Jackson is set to reprise the role of Russell Lee Washington Jr., who was first introduced in the recently released third season of the original drama.
Production on Frisco King is expected to begin later this month in Fort Worth, TX. The show is executive-produced by Sheridan, Stallone, and Jackson. Christina Alexandra Voros and Michael Friedman are set to direct multiple episodes, while Sheridan will be writing all eight episodes of the new show. David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Voros, Friedman, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, and Keith Cox are also set as executive producers.
