Florence Pugh seemingly joins Andy Samberg’s 42.6 Years cast
While it’s yet to be officially confirmed, the newly revealed pictures from Just Jared indicate that actress Florence Pugh has already begun filming Andy Samberg’s comedy movie, 42.6 Years.
The Hollywood star was spotted shooting alongside Samberg on Thursday afternoon at Central Park in New York City. The pictures showed Pugh standing on the back of Samberg’s bicycle as he rode it in the park.
It seems Pugh might be playing Ruthie, the girlfriend of Samberg’s character named Ben. Based on the story description of 42.6 Years, it’ll follow Ben waking up after being cryogenically frozen for 42.6 years as part of an experimental procedure. While he hasn’t aged a day, his girlfriend, Ruthie, ends up living the entire lifetime without him.
Earlier this year, veteran actress Annette Bening joined the Andy Samberg comedy movie. While she will play older Ruthie, Pugh may likely play her younger version. However, nothing is confirmed at the moment.

42.6 Years is being helmed by Michael Schwartz and will be distributed by Focus Features in the U.S., with Universal Pictures International managing the distribution globally. Samber is also producing it alongside Ali Bell.
Samberg was last seen in The Roses, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman. He was also featured as a voice actor in Zootopia 2. As for Pugh, she was most recently seen in the MCU hit Thunderbolts* as Yelena Belova. She will be seen reprising her popular role later this year in Avengers: Doomsday.
42.6 Years has yet to receive an official release date window.
