KG, AKA Kiera Grace Madder, a member of JYP Entertainment’s girl group, VCHA, recently departed it. She terminated her contract with the company and filed a lawsuit against them via representative, Tracey Madder. This has shocked many people, who wish to learn more about the situation.

KG explained via an Instagram story why she terminated her contract with JYP.
The musician claimed that she suffered abuse and mistreatment from several staff members. “I feel it was not a good environment for my mental health and apologize if my leave disappoints any of you,” she said. “Am not in support of the working and living conditions that led a member to attempt suicide. Nor do I support an environment that encourages eating disorders and has caused members to self-harm.” (via Soompi)
“I made this decision back in May and am still waiting for release from my contract,” KG added. “I am worried for the girls who remain in VCHA, my friends, whom I truly love and care for.” She further stated that she could not stay with JYP Entertainment as it would be detrimental to her career. Moreover, KG mentioned that she accumulated a lot of company debt and was paid extremely less compared to the intense work she put in. The former member of the girl group also addressed the limits put on her personal life.
KG concluded by thanking J.Y. Park and the other staff members for believing in her. Additionally, she expressed her hopes that her exit would lead to the K-Pop system, which she believes had a major underlying issue, to make changes to their functioning.
According to Soompi, JYP USA soon responded to KG’s statements with their own statement. Here, they called her claims “false” and “exaggerated,” and that it caused “significant harm” to other VCHA and JYP USA members who were working on their 2025 projects. JYP USA also mentioned that they had suspended VCHA’s activities and had extensive discussions with KG’s representatives to resolves the issues she had with them. However, JYP USA claimed that they did not get any further responses.
KG eventually responded to JYP USA’s statement through another Instagram story. She expressed her disappointment at their unwillingness to take accountability. KG also stressed that she and her legal team had photographic and physical evidence prepared to prove her claims.
