Universal Pictures have shared the first official Nobody 2 and Him posters for two of Universal Pictures’ highly-anticipated thriller movies. Both the Bob Odenkirk-led sequel and Jordan Peele-produced horror film are slated to debut later this year on August 15 and September 19, respectively.
What do the Nobody 2 and Him posters show?
The Nobody 2 poster features Odenkirk’s bloodied hand, as his character Hutch wears a familiar bracelet. The sequel will also star returning cast members Connie Nielson, Christopher Lloyd, and RZA. They will be joined by Golden Globe winner Sharon Stone as the main antagonist, along with Mckenna Grace, Colin Hanks, and John Ortiz.
Indonesian filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto directs the sequel from a screenplay by John Wick franchise creator Derek Kolstad, Odenkirk, Aaron Rabin, and Umair Aleem. It is produced by Kelly McCormick and David Leitch for 87North, Odenkirk and Marc Provissiero for Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment, and Braden Aftergood for Eighty Two Films. During its theatrical run, the first installment received positive reviews from critics. It also earned a worldwide gross of over $57 million against a reported budget of around $16 million.
As for the Him poster, it shows a bloody football inside a glass case with the tagline “Greatness demands sacrifice,” teasing the horror movie’s ominous vibe. The film will be led by Marlon Wayans, Tyriq Withers, Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, Guapdad 4000 and Tierra Whack, with Wayans playing an electrifying dramatic role as a legendary quarterback.
“It centers on a promising young football player, invited to train at the isolated compound of a dynasty team’s aging QB1,” reads the synopsis.
The horror thriller film is directed by Justin Tipping from a screenplay written by Limetown creators Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie. Producers are Ian Cooper, Jordan Peele, Win Rosenfeld, and Jamal M. Watson for Monkeypaw Productions, with David Kern and Kate Oh serving as executive producers.
