New Peacemaker Season 2 posters reveal when the next trailer for the DCU show will be released.
Peacemaker Season 2 premieres on HBO Max next month. Created by James Gunn, the new season will see John Cena reprise his role as Christopher Smith/Peacemaker alongside Danielle Brooks’ Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma’s Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Jennifer Holland’s Emilia Harcourt, and Steve Agee’s John Economos.
When will the new Peacemaker Season 2 trailer be released?
Two new Peacemaker Season 2 posters have now been released and can be viewed below.
When sharing one of the new posters, the official HBO X account announced that a new Peacemaker Season 2 trailer will be released tomorrow (Saturday, July 26, 2025), during San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). Peacemaker’s Hall H SDCC panel begins at 3:30 p.m. (PT) and lasts for an hour, meaning fans can expect the trailer to come out then.
In addition to the aforementioned cast, Peacemaker Season 2 will see Frank Grillo reprise his DCU role as Rick Flag Sr. — a character who debuted in 2024’s Creature Commandos and then had a minor role in 2025’s Superman. Now the director of A.R.G.U.S., Rick Flag Sr. will be on a mission to take Peacemaker down while seeking revenge for the death of his son in Peacemaker Season 2.
Tim Meadows will play an A.R.G.U.S. agent named Langston Fleury, while Michael Rooker has been tapped to play a character named Red St. Wild, an expert hunter who is trying to kill Eagly. It is also known that Isabela Merced’s Hawkgirl/Kendra Saunders, Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, and Sean Gunn’s Maxwell Lord will appear.
The first season of Peacemaker, which premiered in January 2023, served as a spin-off to The Suicide Squad and was set in the DCEU. Gunn has reassured fans multiple times that Peacemaker Season 2 will address the DCEU/DCU continuity change.
Peacemaker Season 2 premieres on HBO Max on August 21, 2025.
