Now You See Me 4 is already in the works, and according to director Ruben Fleischer, the sequel to 2025’s Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is going to take things even further.

What did Now You See Me 3’s director say about Now You See Me 4?

Speaking to ComingSoon, Fleischer was asked about what’s most exciting when it comes to working on the next movie after setting things up in the third. The third movie saw The Four Horsemen group come together with a new group of young magicians. According to Fleischer, he’s excited to see where the next movie goes, and hopes to just keep taking things up a higher notch.

“Yeah, I’m so excited,” said Fleischer. “I really loved the experience of making this movie. These actors are all terrific. They also just happen to love working together. I knew that was true of the original cast, but the three new kids like just folded in seamlessly and everybody just kind of fell in love and it was really beautiful. We’re all kind of sad, honestly, that Rosamund [Pike] won’t be in the next one because she also was just so fun. We all hung out. We were in Budapest and Abu Dhabi and we had great time making the movie.

“I feel really lucky to be able to continue telling this story, and I am excited to see where it goes. I just take what we built in this last one and then bring it to the next level and keep pushing it forward.”

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t brings back a number of other actors from the franchise, including Jesse Eisenberg as J. Daniel Atlas, Woody Harrelson as Merritt McKinney, Dave Franco as Jack Wilder, Isla Fisher as Henley Reeves, and Morgan Freeman as Thaddeus Bradley.

Additionally, Justice Smith (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), Dominic Sessa (The Holdovers), Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie), and Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) joined the cast.

The first Now You See Me movie was released in 2013. Directed by Louis Leterrier, the film was a huge hit for Lionsgate as it made approximately $351.7 million at the global box office off an estimated $75 million budget. The sequel, Now You See Me 2, followed in June 2016. That movie was directed by Jon M. Chu, who then went on to make 2021’s In the Heights and the upcoming Wicked adaptations.

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t hit United States theaters on November 14, 2025, from Lionsgate. The first two Now You See Me movies are currently available to watch on Netflix.
