Send Help reviews are officially out now, and the upcoming horror movie from Sam Raimi is getting nothing but praise early on.

What are the Send Help reviews saying?

On Rotten Tomatoes, Send Help has earned mass praise, scoring 92% for 51 reviews. The score, which was originally 94% before dropping slightly, is still among Raimi’s best, sliding it just behind his highest-scoring film ever (Spider-Man 2 still has a 93% as of this writing).

Among some of the most positive reviews, Boston Globe’s Odie Henderson said “you can probably figure out where the movie is headed, but that doesn’t make the journey any less fun. The bloody battle between Linda and a wild boar provides the first big thrills of 2026.”

Indiewire’s Alison Foreman also praised the movie, saying it’s “controlled delirium microwaved on high heat. At 66, Raimi reminds us who he was when he made horror-comedy history with ‘Evil Dead II,’ and more importantly, why his voice still matters.”

The Hollywood Reporter’s Frank Scheck also had high praise for the movie, saying it “boasts an audacious concept that is superbly realized by Raimi’s filmmaking, which milks every bizarre situation for all it’s worth.”

ComingSoon’s Jonathan Sim also called the movie an “insane ride,” saying “Raimi’s remarkable style, with energy, humor, and pure chaos infused into his horror, is all over this film.”

Send Help stars Rachel McAdams, Chris Pang, Dylan O’Brien, and Dennis Haysbert. The film is said to center on two colleagues who find themselves stranded on a deserted island after surviving a plane crash. “They must work together and use their wits to survive and make it out alive,” reads the film’s original logline.

The movie marks the return of Raimi to the horror genre since his 2009 film, Drag Me to Hell. Raimi directed the first three films in the Evil Dead franchise, which include 1987’s Evil Dead II and 1992’s Army of Darkness in addition to The Evil Dead. He directed the pilot episode of Ash vs Evil Dead and produced the Starz series.

According to early reports of the movie, Send Help is said to aim to be a mix of Rob Reiner’s Misery and Robert Zemeckis’s Castaway.
