A new X-Men ’97 Season 2 trailer has been released featuring more mutant mayhem and apocalyptic action. The second season of the revived series arrives on Disney+ next week.

What do we see in the X-Men ’97 Season 2 trailer?
The trailer starts by putting the focus squarely on Apocalypse, the first mutant, with the X-Men face off against the villain, with Magneto by their side this time. The footage shows the mutants fighting Apocalypse across different time periods, with each being ruled by the villain. Elsewhere, in the 1990s, the world continues to debate about the X-Men’s heroic agenda as Cable tries to figure out how to get the heroes back.
The voice cast for X-Men ’97 includes Ross Marquand as Professor X, Matthew Waterson as Magneto, Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Cal Dodd as Wolverine, Lenore Zann as Rogue, and George Buza as Beast. Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, Julia Lewald, Eric Lewald, Larry Houston, and Beau DeMayo executive produce the series.
X-Men ’97 Season 2 is directed by Emmett Yonemura and Chase Conley, and will consist of nine episodes. While that’s less than the first season, fans can look forward to more as the show has been renewed for two more seasons. According to Winderbaum, the Marvel Television team hopes for X-Men ’97 to last as long as the original series. Ahead of its release, the second season has already received perfect reviews from critics.

Those who want more X-Men adventures can look forward to Marvel Studios’ upcoming X-Men live-action reboot, directed by Jake Schreier. The original X-Men will return in this year’s Avengers: Doomsday.
