The PC and Xbox ports of Persona 5 Royal will include over 40 pieces of special DLC previously released for the game. The critically acclaimed, expanded version of Persona 5 is one of the most popular games in the Persona series, and until recently was a Playstation exclusive. Persona 5 Royal is set to finally come to Xbox consoles and PC in fall of this year, much to the delight of many fans.
Persona 5 Royal expands upon the plot and characters of Persona 5, which centers on high school protagonist Joker and a group of friends who form a vigilante group called The Phantom Thieves of Hearts. This group alternates between traveling into the metaverse - where they participate in dungeon crawling segments in the mental palaces of corrupt individuals - and different social simulation segments. Each member of the party battles in turn-based combat with their personas in Persona 5 Royal, alter-egos that have special powers. As Joker, players can build skills and relationships with other characters through what they choose to do in their free time in-between school and dungeon crawling.
Persona 5 Royal originally released in 2019, and added new confidants, a new palace to conquer, an additional school term, and more. DLC has always been available for the game, including special costumes from past Persona titles as well as other games from developer Atlus, new personas, and special items designed for battle. During 2022's Xbox and Bethesda Showcase, Atlus shared that the previously Playstation-exclusive title would be coming to PC and Xbox consoles. Atlus' big 2022 Persona announcement wasn't exclusive to Persona 5 Royal, either, with both Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden set to be released in coming years. An exciting follow-up announcement from the Japanese Persona website Persona Channel has revealed that the Personal 5 Royal port will include over 40 pieces of DLC previously released for the title.

All of this new content is bound to make the Persona 5 Royal experience even longer than it already is, particularly with the addition of difficult new challenge battles and new personas for players to experiment with. The costumes from past Atlus games like Catherine and Shin Megami Tensei IV are fun Easter eggs bound to please long-time Atlus fans and add new flair to the game. Although the fact many Persona 5 Royal players who have already bought these DLC items may find these inclusions unfair, they will undoubtedly provide an amazing new Persona 5 Royal experience for new players.
